Delete your account

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This page explains how to ask us to delete your Amore London app account and the personal data that goes with it. The app is published by CuroByte Ltd (Android App ID com.curobyte.curobook), which also runs the salon booking platform behind it. You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to be logged in, to make a request.

How to request deletion

  1. Email hello@curobyte.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Tell us you want your account deleted and give us the email address or mobile number you used with the app, so we can find the right account. If you would rather not email, ask at the salon desk or call the salon and they will raise the request for you.
  2. We confirm the request is really yours. We reply to the email address on the account, or send a one-time code to the registered mobile number, before anything is deleted. This is the only way somebody else cannot delete your account.
  3. We delete the account and the data listed below, then reply to confirm it is done. Our target is within 7 days of confirming the request, and always within 30 days.

Never send us card numbers, CVV codes or your password. We never need them to delete an account.

What we delete

Deleting your account removes the account itself and the personal data attached to it from our live systems:

  • Your account: name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), language preference and referral code.
  • Your appointments: appointments you have booked, including any upcoming ones (these are cancelled as part of the deletion) and your appointment history in the salon's diary.
  • Records the salon keeps about you: notes, allergy and patch-test entries, alerts, client tags, and any intake forms you completed.
  • Messages: your conversation with the salon through the app.
  • Loyalty and membership: your points balance, any membership and its remaining credits, and the saved card reference held on your behalf. A membership is cancelled, so no further payments are taken.
  • Devices and notifications: your push-notification tokens and app sessions, so the phone stops receiving notifications for the account.
  • Marketing: your marketing email and SMS consent and any scheduled messages to you.

What we keep, and for how long

A small amount of information has to survive an account deletion, and we delete it once the reason for keeping it has passed:

  • Payment and accounting records — 6 years. The salon must keep its financial records, so the transaction record of your appointments (date, service, amount, and the name on the invoice or receipt) is kept for six years from the end of the relevant accounting year. UK tax law requires this and it applies even after you ask us to delete everything else.
  • An open complaint, claim or legal obligation. If there is an unresolved complaint, an insurance claim or a legal duty to keep something, we keep what is needed to deal with it, and delete it when that is over.
  • Anonymised statistics. Counts and reports that no longer identify you — for example, how many appointments a month a salon had — may be kept, because they are not personal data.
  • Backups. Our hosting keeps encrypted backups on a rolling cycle. Data that is still inside a backup is overwritten as that cycle turns, and a backup is only ever restored to recover from a failure.

Which salon holds your data

The salon you booked with is the controller of your booking and treatment records, and CuroByte Ltd hosts the platform and carries out the deletion on the salon's behalf. If you have booked with more than one salon that uses the app, tell us in your request and we will delete the account across all of them, unless you ask us to remove it from just one.

Delete some data without closing your account

You do not have to close your account to exercise your rights. Email us and we can, where the law allows, delete or correct specific things — your booking history, your marketing consent, or a note you asked the salon to remove — while leaving the account open. If something cannot be removed on its own, we will tell you why (usually because it forms part of a financial or insurance record).

Staff accounts

If you work at a salon and your staff login should be closed, email us from your work address or ask the salon owner to raise it. Staff accounts are deleted the same way; work records the salon must keep for payroll or accounting purposes are kept by the salon.

Your other rights

You can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to how it is used. These rights, and how to contact us, are set out in our Privacy Policy, and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at any time.
